Fluffy fried horse mackerel with salted rice malt

The usual side dish is delicious with koji seasoning! Fluffy deep-fried horse mackerel marinated in salted rice malt.

Horse mackerel
3 tails
salt koji
1 tablespoon
6 sheets
1 piece
koji powder
moderate amount
bread crumbs
moderate amount


By using shio-koji, the odor is eliminated and the meat is plump! You can enjoy it without salt and pepper or sauce.

how to make

  • Apply shio-koji (salted rice malt) to three pieces of grated horse mackerel and marinate for about 30 minutes.

  • Lightly wipe off the shio-koji, place the perilla on the meat, and coat with koji powder, egg, and bread crumbs in that order.

  • Fry in oil at 180 degrees and it's done.
